Don'T Torture Yourself -Eat What You Like.

Don't force down foods you don't like just because they are 'diet' foods. I was trying to force down a salad everyday. Then the lightbulb went on and I realized that I do not like raw vegetables. I stopped the daily torture and now eat my veggies cooked. My weight loss and attitude are better.

  • I think this is excellent advice. I found that my idea of a salad all these years was very limited. I didn't like salads either because I always ate the same things. Now when I go to restaurants or look for recipes, I try different types of vegetables and lettuces and the variety keeps it from getting boring and I've learned what things are that I never had a clue about. For example, I love arulgula right now. Anything with Arugula I will try. Before, if it was icebrug or romaine, I wouldn't even try it. Fennel is another example. I would have not even considered that as a salad because it's not a lettuce, but I love the flavor and the crunch. - by MERLE641
