I buy a lot of ground turkey and make burgers and meatballs in advance and freeze them. The easiest way to add a secret serving of veggies is to mix in some frozen (but thawed) chopped spinach to the burger/meatball mixture. It cooks in perfectly and you can ensure even the pickiest eater that you can barely even taste it!
If you have a portion control problem, make your serving bowl a measuring cup. Pre-count snacks and store them in snack bags. Make up your burgers ahead of time by weighing the meat, prepare your patty, then freeze.
Adding an onion and garlic puree to lean beef or turkey when making burger patties makes for juicy and flavorful burgers! Simply take the onions, garlic, and other seasonings if desired, that you would normally chop and add to the ground meat and puree in blender or food processor. Mix completely and grill or prepare as desired!
