Add slices of frozen fruit to your water for a better taste. I buy a bag of mixed fruit but you can add almost any fruit. Strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, etc. It taste better than some of those taste additives from the store, and you get your fruit serving! I will mix up to a cup of fruit into my days worth of water and drink throughout the day.
I know that eating the fruit is better for you but in the summer when it is so hot I like to take fruit juice and freeze it for a healthy snack. Depending on the fruit juice I also add a little water and if I have the fruit as well I'll add a little fruit. This works better for me because if I buy a box of the low calorie fudge bars I have trouble sticking to one.
I find creative ways to add fruit/veggies to my meals. I add bananas, strawberries, craisins, raisins - whatever I have on hand - to my morning oatmeal (as well as nuts!). I also add these things to my salads. I add a bag of frozen veggies to my spaghetti sauce. Anywhere I can get them in!
