Glad to know I'm not the only one who was a bit overwhelmed by all of the content and information. I will say, though, that this site is awesome. I love the accountability of recording what I eat and trying to stay withing the parameters set for me. And I agree with you completely on the helpfulness of the SparkPoints. I even remember on the weekends when I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off!

Ok this is probably going to sound weird, but for me it's working! I simply USE sparkpeople. What I mean is..I get so engrossed in reading all the pages, and blogs, and motivations, etc. etc. that I don't have TIME to snack. For two hours I sat and read sparks things, and kept thinking, I need to eat lunch, but was too engrossed to stop. I grabbed some soup and came back. sparkspeople is keeping me too busy to eat!!

Too funny. I agree and if you have an iota of OCD gene or Type A personality you will have compulsive moments about gaining spark points! I think it's a nice feature.

That is how I learned about this site, and still fill out my points, read the articles etc. It forces me to read stuff I might not go to if I wasn't going down the list

I believe Mr. Spark Guy, Chris, should win a humanitarian award for his vision and implementation of Spark People. Too change so many lives through communication and enlightenment is a beautiful thing to see each and everyday. Thank you Chris for your love of your fellow human beings and going the distance to make us realize that we can make it happen.

I start my day with that really cute spinning wheel and it gives me a focus on fitness. I had to get a timer app for my computer so I wouldn't keep sparking so long I'd be late in getting ready for work.

I so get you because there something about seeing perfect attendance at the end of the month that keeps me logging on each day regardless of what kind of busy day I am having. I do agree that I have learned so many healthy tips to keep me on track since the start of the year on developing a new and improved me.

This is how I am learning to use Sparkpeople. I've joined a couple of teams but changing things around as I learn more about how to use this site. I am trying to encourage my friend to join with me we are both avid Curves members and are diet buddies who will meet later today and again I want to share with her about how Sparkpeople is helping me to get unstuck with my diet and exercising.

I agree with you! Although, even now, I still find new things to explore and new areas I didn't even realize were there. I like the whole site and like the SP community very much. What a treat.
