The little plastic cups that pudding or applesauce come in are exactly 1/2 cup. I keep them in the oatmeal box and have a stack of them handy to measure cereal, milk, etc. to keep me honest about how much I am eating. When in doubt, measure!

Packing a lunch using smaller containers has helped me practice portion control. I didn't realize how large my portions were. If in doubt of calorie content I only serve 1/2 cup.301
