Consistency is the KEY!!!--Make IT your NEW HABIT!!!
Making time for the gym or exercise each day is a mental exercise in itself and a new habit for me.I have been going to the gym 1/wk.,but trying to fit in exercise with a toddler at home is CHALLENGING,but WORTH IT! Your body NEEDS its exercise and if you stick with it ,you WILL see results!
An adage I heard from a former trainer of mine--You put in maximum efforts, you'll get maximum results. You put in minimal efforts=minimal results. What do you want your results to be?Note:When you stop strength training, your body will lose your muscle you built up in about 2 weeks.
I'm a busy, busy person that has to stick to a plan to fit in exercise. Even then, I sometimes find that I have to be creative it fit it in. Two of my favorite ways to do that are to take the stairs at work and to walk during my lunch hour. That way, even if I don't get my full 60 minutes in after work, I can feel like I've done something to burn some calories. It CAN be done!
When you find yourself too busy in the evenings to fit in a workout. Try to commute to work in a different manner or get in early. I now bike to work and walk to lunch to fit in exercise I normally would have to go without during busy weeks at the office.
Your office may be too far, but if you can try and find ways to commute without solo driving and more 'manpower', you'll soon see amazing results. Commuting exercise!
