I always thought eating more was a horrific idea, but since I've started eating a BIG breakfast, a big lunch and a light dinner (with 2 moderate snacks in between, maintaining 1,200-1,500 cals a day) I look and feel better. Who would have thought! Making a good decision in the morning often leads to good decisions throughout the day. :)
It has really helped me to plan my meals in advance and pack food to being with me to work. I eat 4 - 6 smaller meals thoughout the day rather than just a big lunch and dinner. The benefits? More control with my bs & successful weightloss!
Create a "wiggle-room meal" when tracking calories!
I eat a big or small breakfast based on how hungry I am in the morning, and I track it. Then, still in the morning, I enter what I'm planning to have for dinner, and then I enter an evening snack. Lunch is my "wiggle room." I can go big or small, depending on how many calories I have left.
If I want a bigger lunch, I'll start cutting away at my evening snack. This way, I have a full dinner to look forward to, rather than eating too much at lunch and feeling like I'll have to starve during dinner, which is my favorite meal. But really, any meal can be the wiggle-room meal!
