Instead of buying note pads for things like grocery lists I save the envelopes I receive in the mail and use the backs to jot things down. I pay most of my bills on line so I get two envelopes out of each mailing ... the one the bill came in and the on for paying the bill.

I have a daily flip calendar on my desk. At the end of the year when I replace the old pages with the new, I clip the old ones together and use them as a note pad on my desk for miscellaneous notes, calls, numbers, whatever. It saves me from using new note pads!

I make a list of major projects every month and date it. Then as the month goes by, I cheerfully cross off what I have done. I also mark little notes near the project. I keep the lists and enjoy looking back to a couple years ago and revisiting the progress I have made. It is almost a journal only without much writing...203
