I picked 14 quarts of strawberries, gave 4 to my daughter. Tonight I made 2 strawberry pies, 2 jars of jam, sliced some for cereal, and sugared a very big bowl to make strawberry pancake syrup tomorrow. I have about 50 more quarts to pick but it is raining. I'll make more jam and pies. Love them

Red Ripe Juicey Strawberries are Good for Diabetics
Regular intake of strawberries reduces the growth of cancer cells & supports the proper growth of red blood cells. A good source of vitamin C & minerals like copper, magnesium, & potassium. Strawberries may even reduce heart disease. Vegetables like strawberries, tart cherries, and tomatoes may help reduce inflammation associated with hardening of the arteries and reduce certain risk factors for heart disease. Add strawberries to breakfast cereal, yogurt or use them as snack, Slice and freeze.
Put frozen strawberries in a bowl, and sprinkle with sugar substitute (I use Splenda), mix them them around in bowl until sugar substitute dissolves on strawberries, then lightly drizzle with chocolate syrup..... Delicious and a light snack! 211
Blueberries, Strawberries and other summer type fruits
When these fruits are in season & the prices are low I will buy extra baskets weekly & freeze them. I then have them when they are no longer in season & the price has gone up. I use them in oatmeal,or a smoothie. It also eliminates buying them frozen when those prices are high to begin with....
