Whenever I have a really tough day, I make sure I do a p.m. yoga DVD. The gentle exercises and meditation help me focus my energy and be at peace. It makes sleeping a lot easier and I feel, in general, happier. A simple thing to do that is highly effective.

After daily weighing for a while, I've really noticed that I lose weight after a good night's sleep. So to avoid night time eating, DH & I go to bed earlier. We say, "Off to lose some weight" as we go to bed. I used to hate going to bed, now I am happy to take myself off.
This helps with night time eating, too. If you want to eat at night after dinner, consider going to bed instead. It seems drastic, but I find it works really well.
When that alarm goes off, hit the snooze & turn on the lights & spend those extra lusious10 minutes easy stretching (right there in bed) and thinking a gratitude list. It's lots easier to pop out of bed and start the day on a happy note if the body and brain are prepped for energy
I stretch each leg, wigle my toes, circle my ankles, reach my arms full out to the side and above my head, then kick back the covers , raise each knee to my chest a few times, then bend knees & alternate side to side a few times. lastly, I raise each leg a few times. Listing good things in my life
