"Free" Kitchen Can Bags

Members Were Sparked
This Sparked Me!

Get a kitchen trash can that is the right size to be lined with those plastic bags that grocery stores use to bag your groceries. You will have to take the kitchen can to your big garbage can more frequently, but the payoff is a fresher smelling kitchen and no money spent on bags.

If you recycle and don't have that much trash, it works very well. I can hide the small wastebasket under the sink, too

There is a law that we have to pay for plastic bags where I live. emoticon

I do this all the time. Plus, you're recycling so all those plastic (or paper) bags don't go to waste. Use them in the bedroom and bathroom too.

Or, if you want to help save the environment, ask for paper bags and use THOSE for your trash bags.

I do this with bathroom trash cans as well.
