Pick A Day For Planning And Love Your Reusable Containers

Portion control they say is the way to go. Well I have designated Sundays (my only day off) to make meals and designate portions in advance. I love the little ziplock or glad containers - I portion out for example 1/4 chix breast, 1 cup of brown rice or whole grains, and a side of green veggies.

I like to use my Sundays to make meals for the rest of the week. I chop my veggies and put them in plastic storage bowls for my lunches. I cook one thing in the slow cooker to eat on all week. I portion it out for my meals so I never over eat it.
Plastic storage containers, slowcooker, and a meal plan.
I invested in smaller reusable container for taking my lunch. First I make a larger portion of a recipe, like my breakfast oatmeal, or black bean and corn salsa, and then I package it in the smaller containers so it's ready to grab when I'm off to work. Exact one cup size containers keep me from cheating, or adding just a little more. 9
