I started tracking all of my food, but not really trying to stay within my target ranges for the first few days. This allowed me to see where I stood and make small changes to my daily food choices, without getting discouraged.

    very smart idea. I think SP is one of the best sites out there, but can be overwhelming at first, so starting small and building is really helpful.

    Great tip...thank you! I'm having so much trouble keeping in the target zone for all 4 groups. I do fine with calories and carbs, but find it difficult to get in enough protein and fat. Everything I try to add on seems to put me over on the other 2. So this is a wonderful way to get started.
