I often find I really don't want to get out there and exercise. Well, I found a trick that works like a dream. I allow myself to not want to and just get ready to go. Then if I still don't want to walk or run after my first lap or first stage of what I'm doing I allow myself to change it up or quit altogether. I've only changed my exercise once so I think this helps get me up and out!
To stay on track with eating healthy on a daily basis, I tell myself "Today is the first day of my new eating habits".
It's been my experience that I do quite well on the first day of trying a new diet and now in this case a lifestyle change. So when I think I want to revert back to some old habits I remind myself that today is the first day of the changes and it has been working for me for well over a month now.
