I found the worst time of the day for me was mid-afternoon. I needed something to eat that was healthy and filling but would make me want to eat "more." I settled on air popped popcorn with a butter flavored spray or carrots and hummus.

Late afternoons, I would snack while fixing dinner -- usually filling up before dinner was ready, but I'd still eat a full dinner. Now I go to the gym or take a walk during the time dinner is cooking and get a double benefit! Fewer calories in, More calories burned!
If I think I'm hungry, and it's not snack time or meal time, I eat an apple before anything else!!!!!!!!

An orange is winning snack. First its fruit, and you can always include another fruit or veggie into your day. Its full of all sorts of good stuff. Its filling. And by the time you peel it, pick it apart, and eat it...its taken at least 10 minutes. Which means snack time over and get back to work. Its just enough food and time to get me through til lunch.
