At night time, I used to get cramps in my legs constantly. The best remedy that I have found recently and it works like a charm! Flex your foot towards you so that it lengthens the calf. The cramp will be gone immediately! It really works!

    I get cramps a lot too, usually always early in the morning! My doctor told me to take a calcium magnesium supplement (I found one that also has vitamin D)! She also said my muscles could me dehydrated, so I have to make sure to drink, drink, drink water! Stretching after runs are very very important too! Thanks for the advice! I will definitely try the circular motion rub behind my knee...thanks!

    I get them too, from what I don't know. They wake me up in the middle of the night and are sometimes so violent I have to stand and stretch them out, and the muscles are sore in the morning. My mother swears that a bar of Ivory soap under the blankets at your feet work to prevent them.

    I have the best remedy for this!! Used to get these a lot when I was in high school and ran a lot...stretch your leg out and then rub the back of your knee in a circular sounds little odd but DEFINITELY works!! I think by doing so, you're waking up the muscle thats being pulled and massaging it back to norm.

    My MIL used to get them too, even thought she drinks about 3 lit of water daily and walks and does yoga regularly. It tuned out to be Vit E deficiency.The cramps were gone with hep of Vit E supplements

    They say that you get leg cramps at night from not drinking enough water. Since I have been drinking more water then usual I have not got any.
