If you're on a budget, or trying to drop a few pounds,why not give this a try? Make up your bolognese or curry etc as usual, but substituting a diced potato, chick peas or beans for 1/4 of the meat. This saves calories, and money or it may just stretch a meal for an unexpected guest. emoticon

MORE INFORMATION:
Why not serve a side dish of chopped veg like carrots, tomatoes ,cucumber, raw onion, celery and for a treat, a sprinkle of grated cheese. For curries, you could also use nuts, diced fruit, sultanas, chutney, spices and yogurt. For all dishes its adds a wide range of tastes & textures to the meal.
