I actually broke my bills down so I save a "monthly" amount. For example, I pay car insurance every 6 months, so I break that bill down to a monthly amount & throw the amount in a separate bank account every month. Then when it's time to pay up, the money is already there waiting!

Living on a budget
It is good to have a weekly budget for everyone you will like to do to avoid unnecessary expenses.
My husband and I have always had a budget however we didn't always live buy it. In September we took a hard look at our budget as we prepared to take Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. We looked at only our based salaries and created a budget that met all our expenses plus planned for the future ones (car and home repairs, trips, christmas and so forth). Due to living by our budget we have been able to pay out over $8000+ towards debt.
