Change Up How Many Calories You Are Eating

I've found that if I raise or lower the number of calories I'm eating by 100 calories it always breaks the plateau quickly. Thanks to this technique I haven't had any major plateaus the entire time I've been losing weight.

    I take it you lower 100 until you reach the minimum, then raise until maximum? or did you make your own minimum and maximum? The idea is great and shows that our bodies just have to be kept on the ball otherwise it gets into a habit. Thank you for your tip! emoticon

    Is maximum and minimum something you are getting from Spark People? I've always used Fit Day to track my calories and set my weight goals so not sure if that is what you mean, but I'm assuming it is. But to answer the question I think you are asking, if you are already at a level where you would risk going into starvation mode if you went lower then you would go higher. Once the plateau breaks you could go back to where you were before, so not a permanent change in calories. Just temporary to break the plateau. Hope that makes sense?
