I found ballroom dancing not only provides a great workout, but it also can improve your coordination, boost your mood, and can get you out of the house. It doesn't matter if it is ballet, jazz, ballroom, belly or pole dancing, or hula it is fun and you are learning.
I have seen 70+ to college kids at group ballroom lessons. The Woman's shoes rock and are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn. It is expensive, so try a $10 video first, or a free lesson. Ever see a buff hot straight guy do jazz hands?? If they can do that and look good, so can I!!
My fun exercises are: ballroom dancing, zumba, walking, following you tube videos from Jessica Smith TV, Leslie Sansone and yoga with Adrienne, going to the gym and joining in on yoga class once a week and working out with a trainer at the gym for 30 minutes once a week.
Equipment needed would be dumbbells, a laptop/tablet or smart tv for viewing you tube videos, gym membership to take part in group classes and personal trainer.
CHANGE IT UP!!! YOUR NEVER TOO OLD!! Give yourself positive talk!
I started my weight loss journey 12 months ago. Lost 31 lbs then hit a plateau. Have been at the same weight since Oct. 2010 or within 1-3 lbs. But now I feel positive. I am trying everything new, Zumba, ballroom dancing, even cross-fit, which I am now in training for ....I FEEL GREAT..I thought I was too old...soon to be 62. Next...I am going to try a spin class9
