I didn't write my first blog until almost a month of being on sparkpeople.I UNDERESTIMATED its IMPORTANCE for me. Frankly, I thought it was just talk! But I LEARNED that I could HELP OTHERS and they could HELP ME just by describing how each other's weight loss journey is going. I found it helpful
and SO ENCOURAGING! Plus I looked FORWARD to the comments of my sparkfriends and new people that told me what was working for them or to just give a needed word of support or encouragement! Other programs lack this SUBSTANTIAL COMPONENT of a wt.loss program. HELP YOURSELF!Get BLOGGING!:)

Spending time encouraging others by responding to blogs, welcoming new members, being active on your teams and commenting on other member's blogs is even BETTER for you than for the people you reach out to. Motivating others keeps YOU motivated!
