I have found that I am most successful at maintaining my weight if I track my food. At first it can seem tedious but eventually you get in the habit and if you are brutally honest with yourself it really helps keep you from overeating.

Definitely agree. I love using the Nutrition Tracker; it really helps me keep track of not just my calories, but cholesterol, folate, protein, etc. I was really surprised when I found out I wasn't getting enough folate - I'm working hard to improve it but still have a ways to go.

This has been one of my best tools--even when I'm "bad", I find when I'm tracking, I'm not quite as bad, or never as bad as I think, which helps me realize that this IS a sustainable lifestyle change and one I can manage for the long-term!

I agree. It was tedious at first but then once you do get into it is amazing to see what you eat on a daily basis. And yes, it does make you think wow, I can not eat like that.
