Instead of looking at the 100lbs you want to lose by the end of the year, make smaller goals to loose 1.5-2lbs a week. That way when you reach your goal early or on time you are more motivated to keep doing the right things.

Any weight loss goal, small or large, can seem overwhelming, or even hopeless. I broke my wt. loss goal up into smaller mini-goals. Just focusing on that one smaller number, not the entire larger number. keeps it much more positive and manageable. 386248243
If you have a lot of weight to lose set yourself a small goal of losing 10%, no more than that. Once you reach that goal and see how much different you feel set another 10% goal. This makes the weight loss feel more manageable
