I have found that letting others know (in life, on Facebook, etc.) has helped me stay motivated. People know I am trying to lose weight so I'm not going to want to go back on my goal! They also congratulate me which is a great reward when I post that I have lost more weight or can't find clothing that fits! It's a motivating and rewarding way to keep at my goal of losing this weight for good!
Reward yourself with a new type of exercise or sport, one that reinforces your weight-loss progress & fitness goals.
At each mini-goal I reach, I reward myself with a new exercise DVD--something different that I haven't tried yet or couldn't try because I wasn't fit enough. It gives me satisfaction to know I'm progressing enough to do new things, plus it keeps my interest piqued to vary my routines!
