We have long hallways at work, so when I have to go down one of them to go get something, I usually ended up running down them. Not only do I get what I need faster, but I burn just a little bit more calories running instead of walking!

The layout of my living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway in my house is in a continuous circle. Let me explain. I can start at point A in my dining room and walk through my kitchen (I forgot to mention that there are two entrances to my kitchen), to my hallway, living room and back to point A without back tracking. .
I use this "mini-track" to do a brisk 10 minute walk while I'm cooking dinner. I realize that not everyone has a room layout like this one, but I'm sure that some of you do. If you do, take advantage of it. Have a great day!! 30
