I love my Swifter Wet Mop. I take the used bottle and refill it with 1/4 vinegar 3/4 water. It cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes all in one step. Plus it is earth friendly. Not to mention a big money saver.

Now if I can just figure how to replace the mophead pads with something washable and reusable.

What a great tip! I'll save the bottle. I have been using swifter for the past month and love it.

I love that you are filling your bottle with something organic and going green. Way to go. There are so many chemicals doing harm to our bodies and you are proof that you can take something not so good and turn it "green". Thank you for protecting our environment.

Swiffer Mop Cleaner Refills
I thought I'd try a generic brand of the pads that attach to the Swiffer cleaner (the one with the cleaner in the bottle that attaches to the handle). They don't stay on. Where the velcro is on the Swiffer, is not where they are on the generic ones, at least not the ones I got.
MORE INFORMATION:
My opinion, buy the ones from Swiffer. Also, I absolutely LOVE my Swiffer Mop!
I like to crochet so I crocheted a mop head with peaches and cream thread to fit over the swiffer mop head then I thread elastic through the crocheted mop so it fits over the top of the mop. When I mop I spray the floor with white vinegar and water. Then mop with my homemade mop head.
MORE INFORMATION:
When I'm finished I take off the mop head throw it in the wash and have a clean mop head to start with next time. I found it more ecological and I like the mop head with the nubs from crocheting cleans better. I use a mix of vinegar and 1/2 c. + 1 gallon water put in spray bottle.
Instead of buying expensive wet sheets for Swiffer-style mops, cut up old tee-shirts into same size pieces and tuck into the mop head and use with regular floor cleaners. They can be laundered and reused.
