Bad habits were creeping back...Grazing, adding on, snacking at night etc. I needed a change and something simple to replace my complicated food tracking. So I printed menus for a week on the food tracker, check off eaten food, and substitute as needed.. Now I have renewed energy because I made a change to give myself more time.. The plan makes me feel safe knowing that the food plan is there for the entire week. 58
One of the easiest changes I made...which helped me get down to my lowest weight summer 2009...was riding my bike instead of driving. This probably isn't feasible for everyone, but staying away from the car is a great way to lose weight...and save money at the same time.
Bike riding has so many advantages...fresh air, sunshine, exercise, stress release. Making this change not only saved money and helped me lose weight, it got me to the best place mentally and emotionally I've every been.
My primary motivator at the time was money. Working right across the street from the courthouse, it cost me $60 every month to park my car. The gas and oil changes add up too. This simple change helped me not only save money, but lose weight, gain stamina and strength, and dump some stress!
