Goodies At Work

This Sparked Me!

Someone brought a plate of your favorite cookies to work and you just have to have one. How do you handle that? Do you tell yourself that you can have just one and TRY not to eat anymore? That never worked for me, so I started doing the following.

Whenever anyone brings in a treat at work, and it is something that I really need to taste/have, I have started telling myself that I can have one. But, I wait until there is only one left or take one as I am on my way home. Then I can't binge. Works every time!!!

I usually it a half a piece, so I have tasted it, but also did portion control. emoticon

If all the goodies are gone when I check, then I am glad that I didn't put those calories in my body. As far as having them out of sight, that usually doesn't happen, so I just tell myself, I can have one later...It seems to get me through the day!!!

A difficult feat, but a neccessary one if you tend to have the "Lays Potato Chip Syndrome"...(no one can eat just one...). I will try that next time...also, they need to be out of the field of site for the day, and not taunting you to come eat them. emoticon

Portion control and temptation control wrapped up in moderation. Love it, Doris!

Good one, unless all of the goodies are gone when you go back to check!
