Today is mother's day and it is a fantastic day because my children helped me to empty the dishwasher. That's it. As a mom I don't need fancy jewels, big gifts, or vacations. All I need is a helping hand with a smile.

At the end of each day find something you did well and celebrate the small stuff. When I do this it causes me to focus on the things I did well instead of the things I didn't do.
Buy a journal, or create a post and write down each and every day one thing you did toward your goals. It can be as simple as I ate breakfast or parked the car 2 blocks from the office and walked.
Focus on What you Should Eat, Not What You Shouldn't
Celebrate healthy food, don't lament the bad stuff.
Making healthy eating a lifestyle means learning to love your new way of eating. It helps to focus on what you should eat, not what you shouldn't. Do think about how you will get more veggies and fruits. Do think about how you can add protein. Don't think "If only I could have an extra value meal."
Starting on this journey can be overwhelming. It's best to start small, and set yourself achievable goals. Every day, find something to celebrate - even if it's as seemingly small as tracking all your calories on a hectic day!
