I have a huge crop of raspberries (black & red) which I grow purposely to share. About this time of year I start saving the plastic containers from store-bought strawberries, blue berries, tomatoes. When I want to bring someone some berries, these recycled containers make it super easy to transport.

Organizing Temporary Storage Of Recyclables During the Day...
I recycle as you probably do ,too! A method I found helpful for organizing the recyclables during the day without having to go out near the recyclable container CONSTANTLY is to have a plastic bag HANGING IN THE PANTRY CLOSET out of the way ,but across from the trash can so a person can clean up the kitchen and recycle at the same time! I then take the bag out each night to the large recyclable container and dump the contents and throw the plastic bag in the trash...
cutting the ends of the handles and tying the bag in a tight knot so as to not catch any animal that might go snooping in the city dump and get caught in the plastic bag.
I like to use my Sundays to make meals for the rest of the week. I chop my veggies and put them in plastic storage bowls for my lunches. I cook one thing in the slow cooker to eat on all week. I portion it out for my meals so I never over eat it.
Plastic storage containers, slowcooker, and a meal plan.
We have five recycling bins: plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles, glass, and cans. Plus I seem to have accumulated several cloth bags that I take shopping with me but if I should forget to take them, as mentioned previously, I recycle the plastic and paper bags, too.
