I wanted to transition to brown rice but no one liked it, so I started mixing a quarter brown to three quarters white. No one complained. A few weeks later I went to half in half, and then three quarters to one quarter. Now we eat plain brown rice and no one has complained and honestly I can hardly tell the difference.
Once you don't fit into your bigger clothes, get rid of them. That way you are reminded if the pounds start creeping back...you won't have 'fat' clothes to go to. Maybe someone else can use them in transition during their weight loss.
I have been trying to transition into a healthy lifestyle for quite some time now. In the past, when I'd have a slip up, I would just go back to my old ways. Now, I wake up the next day and start over. I don't feel guilty or try to make up for it...I just start over, which has helped me to stay on track!
