Wash Out Resealable (zip Lock) Bags.

I wash out some resealable bags and reuse them. I NEVER reuse any that contained meat or spoiled food. But if they just had bread, crackers, carrot sticks etc., I put a drop of liquid detergent and water in them, wash, rinse, and dry completely. These bags are also good for packing travel items.

Just an FYI. There's a reason they are not reusable. Plastic in bags and bottles such as ziplocs and water bottles do contain carcinogens. If you reuse them and try to clean them with a brush or anything (even your nails) can end up scratching the surface releasing carcinogens into the food that is in your bag. I know some people aren't as worried about carcinogens as others, but it's something I try to avoid.
