Secrets of Success

Stamp Out Hand Washing

If you have garments which require hand washing - sling them in the shower! Next time you shower, step on them as you wash yourself. They will be washed at the correct temperature, in your favourite shower gel and get rinsed with you. Before you get out, hang them over the tap to drip dry.

More Information:

This works best with a walk in shower - I've never tried it with a shower over a bathtub. But it saves time and money if you can do it.

  • I have done a long bike tour of Ohio, called GOBA where you ride about 50 miles per day. There is an opportunity to shower after each day's ride. I thought that the riders who rode their spandex bike shorts in the shower and washed them by lathering up their bodies and shorts simultaneously was a great ides. They dried quickly too since they took up less water on the body. Necessity is the mother of invention. emoticon - by SLEEKKITTY
  • Sorry, but I'm not digging this one. Kind of makes me think that I'm getting it dirtier than it was before going into the shower. emoticon - by MAESTRAKARINE
