Secrets of Success

Coming Out Of My Shell

I am a very quiet and private person so it takes me a while to get motivated to speak up, but reading about other people and I then realize we are all alike in one way or another; we all have our temptations, fears, etc. I am now going to try to open up and ask for your help and encouragement .

More Information:

I am trying to get motivated and I think that getting on SP has helped me to get started in not just getting healthy but in organization of my home and that is a big step for me also. Thanks SP.

  • I know just how you feel. I don't know if I was shy or afraid or both when I first started to use SP. But when I tried to do SP on my own, I feel I was much less successful. After getting bold enough to post a little, and then, even write a blog or 2, the encouragement is awesome. I know I can't do this alone, and I don't want to. You will get lots of help and encouragement. So please keep sharing your thoughts. You will be helping other people every time you share. So thanks! And have a fantastic day! I am also new to SP and a very private person but I know that I can not fight this battle alone. It is very encouraging to read the postings and see the sucess stories. - by JMGLENN120
  • Becoming more self confident has been an unexpected bonus since joining sparkpeople. The more open you are and share, the more people can help, support and advise - the better it is for you - you will have more guidance than you ever expected. Good Luck! - by CALIDREAMER76
  • This is so true. We are all here to lose weight and to get the help we need from other people! - by WORLANDWORM
