Keeping A Kid With Focus Issues Focused

This Sparked Me!

Have a few kids that are focus challenged - bought a few cheap timers and they work WONDERS for keeping them "on track" for doing homework, brushing teeth, packing lunches - and I don't have to nag NEAR the amount I used to! Setting a predetermined amount of time set for each activity helps. emoticon

Suggestions:
15 for afterschool snacks, 30 for spelling words, 10 for play times on computers... I have 4 under 13 (3 of which are in elementry) - so these times may not work for all - they all share 1 tv, 1 computer - by choice for the parents.. not them LOL - Even the kindergardener packs lunch!

I have been doing the same for a few months and it does work wonders. I do it for myself when cleaning too. It keeps me more motivated to clean if I do it for a set amount of time.

I did this very same thing and yes it did work wonders and stopped arguements and settled decisions. OH yes, do this!
