I have found that cutting up my fruits and veggies, and meat when possible, into smaller pieces forces me eat more slowly because of the smaller bites I have to take and chew. The small pieces are also a visual reminder to me to slow down when eating.

Dice up your apples in small, bite size pieces so you can enjoy them as a good movie snack instead of popcorn or chips.
I love popcorn and chips because you can "keep eating them" while watching a movie but mostly I love the crunch. So instead, I dice up an apple and have that with a movie. Just as satisfying and much better for you!
