Transfer It

Before payday - look at what's left in your checking - subtract to the closest fraction and put that in your savings. Even if it's only $20 - a little goes a long way!

Say there's $623.01 left, transfer $23.01 to savings!

I've been doing something extremely similar, I always transferred half into my savings account, and I transfer the rewards and rebates that post to my checking account.

I put unexpected money in my savings account, but anything "leftover" in my checking goes to debt reduction.

I actually started doing exactly this about a month least $20.00 or more goes to my savings account.

My goal is to have the money I need to go to British Columbis in the fall - at least the air fare.....saved!!!

Its like putting change in a well.

So far I have just under 200.00 in my savings account and this week I will probably be able to transfer about 30.00.....wahooo!!!!
