For business (and pleasure) I tend to travel. A LOT. A quick solution for weight training - Instead of carrying around your dumbbells carry around two water bottles instead. A 20oz weighs 2.5 pounds. Bring them empty on the plane and fill them when you get to your destination. Fit in any workout!
MORE INFORMATION:
You can use water bottles in place of dumbbells for almost ANY workout. Even a ten minute basics routine can do wonders. And it helps keep me motivated about my diet!

I seem to "road trip" alot, so I had to start thinking ahead to keep my fitness on track! Whenever making hotel reservations, a good fitness room or pool is a priority for me. Even if the pool isn't big enough for laps, I can do exercises from my water aerobics classes for a good workout.
MORE INFORMATION:
If neither of those is an option, I always carry an exercise band w/ me so I can do an impromptu strength/stretch workout in my room. And if you can take your laptop w/ you, don't forget about Sparkpeople workout videos... they are always available. Traveling is never an excuse to skip workouts!
When you travel, make it a point to pack everything you'll need to workout on your trip (clothes, shoes, ipod, stretchy bands, list of exercises, etc....) FIRST. That way you won't forget anything. You'll be more likely to work out if you've invested some suitcase real estate on workout gear, too!
I keep two types of shower products: upscale, nice-smelling shampoo and conditioner and perfumed bath gel, and normal drugstore stuff. When I have worked out in the morning before my shower, I use the good stuff, and when I haven't, I use the cheap stuff. Every time I take a shower after I work out, I'm rewarding myself for sticking to my goals, and every time I have to use the normal stuff, I'm reminded to get back on track.
MORE INFORMATION:
You can find travel sizes of most upscale bath products that fit well into a gym bag without taking up much room.
Summer's not over yet! There's still plenty of time to tone up and bust out that swimsuit for one last hurrah. Get results in just 15 minutes per week with this plan--no excuses!
