Because the weather has been dreadful this winter, my cardio has been indoors on an elliptical trainer. Even though I watch TV while doing my 30 minutes a day, I get really bored. I break my cardio down into 15 minute segments which breaks the boredom and I no longer dread cardio.

Eating my calorie allotment greatly impacts weight loss and other health factors.
A friend moved in to help us out with meal preparation and other health related activities. She insists upon breakfast. In fact, she insists upon all meals being eaten. Since I started eating the amount of food I'm supposed to have I've lost almost thirty pounds.
I hit a plateau that lasted 6 months, and I wanted to give up! So, I gave myself a new goal: 2 months to get back in gear before my vacation in May. I started "Insanity" exercise program, got a HR monitor, and am tracking everything. It totally renewed my motivation, and I'm finally losing again!
The Insanity exercise program is pretty intense cardio, and the eating plan is pretty basic: 5 small meals throughout the day.
When I start exercising I hit the sleep button on my alarm clock. The music starts playing and I exercise until it stops (59 minutes) I can then hit it again or stop but that way I know I have to keep going until that hour is up. I can spend time on the treadmill or doing other exerciese.
