Every time I workout for a half hour, I put a quarter in my "Workout Fund." When I've saved up some money, I buy a new small piece of fitness equipment (e.g., yoga mat, balance ball, workout video). If I workout for an hour at a time, I add seventy-five cents and an hour and a half earns $1.50!

I've started doing this. My kitty is growing. I'm wondering how much I'll have in a year.

I LOVE this idea. With the oncoming colder weather, I am going to have to move the workouts more often than not inside, and I'm not looking forward to the basement workout room, but I can't afford to go to the fitness center consistently, so I'm going to keep a jar in the basement workout room and for every 15 minutes of workout that I do at home, I'm going to put in a dollar.....when I have money saved in the jar, I can use that to buy day or track passes at the local fitness center.

It also helps me not buy a bunch of stuff to workout with and never use it. I worked hard for this stuff!

Penny a point; Quarter for each 30 minute workout!
After tallying up the day's spark points I get out my mason jar and put in the equivalent amount of change (penny per point) into it. Better than a piggy bank - I can watch it add up!
In another jar I put in a quarter for every 30 minutes of exercise workouts I do in a day.
The money is adding up. I'm saving the quarters for running shoes. I'm not sure what the other jar's savings will go to.
I picked up a couple of little jars at the dollar store along with some decrative glass beads. I labeled one jar with - pounds to lose and the other jar with - pounds lost. I filled the first jar with as many beads as pounds I need to lose. Now whenever I lose a pound I move a bead into the pounds lost jar. I sit the jars on my bathroom counter and it is really motivating to want to fill up my pounds lost jar!
When I use a coupon, I put the face value of the coupon in 2 different jars. Sometimes, when I use a lot of coupons, I have to "save up" my change to put it in the jars. I then use the one jar money for Christmas gifts, and put the other change jar money in the bank. A little adds up!!
