Read Nutrition Data Before Going To A Restaurant

This Sparked Me!

After going to a restaurant, ordering an entrée which looks healthy, and then going home to read nutrition data, only to become angry with the restaurant for "tricking me," I have decided to read the nutrition data before going to the restaurant, so that I can make better choices.

I did this once... and I couldn't go to the restaurant. It is amazing just how many calories an establishment can put in food; even their salads.

This is a MUST for me and I'm so happy the government is requiring restaurants to include nutritional values on their menus!!!!

Oh how many times have I logged a restaurant meal and said, "If I had reviewed nutritional information BEFORE making that choice, I would have chosen differently." emoticon

I do this all the time! That way I don't even look at the menu (at all the tasty fatty dishes). I have already decided what is the best meal for me. I also order water and keep my hand on it often- forces me to drink more water! Flavour the water with lots of lime or lemon.
