High Intensity Interval Training really works. On the treadmill I like to do a 2 minute all out sprint then two minute moderate paced walk in between. Do this 15 times and you've done 30 minutes of cardio!

My Gymboss interval timer is my partner in crime. I use it for HIIT (High intensity intrval training) training on the vertical bike. Instead of spending an hour doing cardio, I do my cardio in 20 minutes! This saves time and allows me to focus on my weight training. After 20 minutes of HIIT cardio, I'm dripping wet and burned just as many calories as if I did 1 hour of cardio.
I bought mine off their website for $19.99 plus shipping. It keeps me in tune with my intervals! www.gymboss.com
I recently started surge training and now I no longer need to spend hours at the gym to do cardio. I warm up about 5 min on whatever cardio machine, then go as fast and hard as I can for 20 sec, rest 20, back at it for 20, for 12 min, then cool down for about 3-5 min. Then I'm done. It is more effective than just being on the machine for 45 - 60 min. Burns more fat and your body does not go into stress mode, so cortisol is not produced.
