Dryer Sheets - Cut Them In Half Or Not At All For Bath Towels

Dryer sheets are chemicals that melt in the heat of the dryer that then coat your laundry. Use half or none at all for your bath towels and wash cloths, etc. This coating is what makes your towels less absorbent. This goes for liquid fabric softener, too!

Hang a cloth tote bag near your clothes dryer and store dryer sheets for reuse. The dryer sheets can be used multiple times. Toss in several of the oldest ones with a load of sheets or towels. In between dryer uses, the storage bag functions as an air freshener.
