I've made my own laundry soap for a few years. The ingredients are easy to find with multiple recipes online. I have tried liquid and powder. The powder ones make more sense to me, saving time and money. AND the powder easily breaks up in the wash, no white powder on clothes!
We have been making our own laundry soap for our family of 6 for over two years now. Works wonderfully. There are several different "recipes" available on the web. We also hang our clothes outside in good weather to dry. Imagine how much money we have saved over the years!
I make my own laundry soap. It's not thick but it's helpful. This makes two gallons. Two gallons of hot water, 1 bar ivory soap, and a small box of baking soda. Grate and melt soap with a little bit of water. Mix the baking soda last thing.
I use a McDonald's Pickle pail. Of course, wash it out good.
