Use food cans for an herb planter to put on your kitchen window sill. Poke holes in the bottom, add gravel, dirt and plant your herbs. With colorful food labels they look great. Put on an old tray with some grave and water to use as a center piece. You have herbs that help decorate. emoticon

I use an old-fashioned can opener -- the ones we use to use to open metal juice cans when I was a kid. I poke two or three holes in the bottom and drainage isn't a problem!
