If you are like me, there are a bunch of veggies out there that I have yet to try and am afraid to because of waste and cost. So do what I do and mix them with other veggies you love, like parsnips with carrots, broccoli with cauliflower, etc.

Great idea! I was given okra today - didn't want to "fry" them the old fashioned way. Think I'll try stir-frying them (in olive oil) with onion and potatos for a new temptation!

Involve children in meal prep. When kids have ownership they will want to eat the food they made. This is a great opportunity to introduce new veggies. In addition to learning to eat new foods, kids will learn about nutrition, cooking, cleaning up, working to help the family & kitchen safety.

I try to make my snacks include fruit and/ or veggies and to balance those carbs with a protein. I also try to keep them in the 100-150 cal range. A friend introduced me to this snack a couple of weeks ago and it is my new favorite!
