I agree with taking it one day at a time. If I overeat today, tomorrow I have another chance to get it right and in the end, I will finally begin to lose weight by eating correctly.
Often times we beat ourselves up because we have 'screwed up' and the guilt piles up until we figure 'what the heck, I am never going to get this right'.
Changing our life style is just trying over and over until we finally have corrected our bad habits.

There is a song by Christie Lane called "One Day at a time" that inspires/inspired me to take my healthy lifestyle one day at a time. I can do anything for one day 249 Then the next day I get up and do the same thing! After 21 days of doing it "one day at a time" I have a habit!!! So when things get a little "overwhelming" . . try taking it one day at a time!!
I've decided to not beat myself up or feel guilty for every little thing. I know what I need to do and I'm doing it. If the scale goes up a little, it's ok. I know what to do to get back on track. Feeling bad about myself will never help. I'm taking it one day at a time.
