when using an arm band for exercising please make sure your animals are not around..I was doing arm band exercises and my cat thought I was playing with him..he jump on my forehead and arm band..left a few scratches on me..I'm ok..as for my cat he got nervous and hid I screamed cause it made me jump40
Working out on those elliptical trainers at the gym can be fun, especially if you are listening to music or an audiobook on your iPod. But after a while, the routine can get stale. Many people only use their legs and just let their arms "hang on for the ride", but this is not an effective workout.
I recently started mixing things up by doing interval or hill training and using my arms and legs on the peaks and focusing on my arms only and letting my legs "hang on for the ride" when I hit the valleys. It's great arm training and it keeps your heart rate up for the whole workout.
I walk for 30 minutes a day and when it's too hot here in Florida, I walk in the house while watching a favorite TV program. I get an upper body workout while walking by using my arms throughout the entire half hour.
