I love it when someone asks me if I've "recently lost a lot of weight." I always respond, "No, only a little weight, but A LOT OF INCHES!" At 5'1", inches means much more to me than pounds!!! Solid muscle beats flabby flab any day! =)

Portion control is easier and more accurate with a digital kitchen scale and using a scale for recipes keeps them consistently perfect!
This may not work for all metabolisms-- but I weigh myself every morning using a digital scale. That way I can see my daily progress, even if it's just .2 pounds less. It keeps me from splurging because I'll see the results the very next day versus the end of the week.
