Using a multi-tier bamboo steamer that you put on top of your normal pan, makes great low fat or fat free cooking. It leaves all flavor and nutrients in the food and is much quicker than you'd think!
I often put potatoes and carrots on the bottom layer and fish and faster-cooking veggies on top. The small amount of water that's needed is brought to a boil really quickly and the food is all cooked through within minutes. The whole meal done at the same time in one pot/steamer - love it!

I work 40 to 50 hours a week, and am currently working on my doctorate. I have fallen in love with steam bags, I tend to over eat when I cook on the stove. Using the steam bags I measure and weigh everything and steam entire meals. I have also started steaming my lunch, I have never packed my lunch.
